Will your files fit on Etsy?

Drop in your digital files and find out in a second. This checker reads only the file names and sizes, right here in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.

Etsy's actual file limits

Etsy sets two hard limits on the digital files attached to a listing. As of mid-2026, both still apply:

20 MB

per file

The cap applies to each file on its own. One file over 20 MB and Etsy rejects the upload.

5 files

per listing

You can attach up to five files to one listing β€” so the most a single listing can hold is 100 MB total.

The usual workarounds (and what they cost you)

When a file is too big, sellers reach for one of these. Each one works β€” until it doesn't.

Zip everything into one file

The catch: A ZIP still has to clear 20 MB. Squeeze a 300 DPI print or a font pack under that and the archive is often still too big β€” or you've compressed the quality away.

Drop the resolution or compress the images

The catch: You're literally degrading the product to fit Etsy's cap. Buyers who paid for print-ready files notice, and it shows up in your reviews.

Split the product across multiple listings

The catch: Confusing for buyers, and they can accidentally purchase only β€œPart 1.” You also end up maintaining several listings for one product.

Paste a Google Drive or Dropbox link in a PDF

The catch: Links break, folders get moved, and buyers get lost. You're also trusting your delivery to a free account that can change its rules or lock you out.

The real fix: stop fighting the 20 MB cap

OrderFiles delivers your original files β€” up to 5 GB each β€” through a branded download page, automatically after each Etsy sale. No compressing. No splitting. No cloud links to babysit. Your buyers get the full-quality files, and you keep your Etsy store.
