Sellfy fees vs Etsy fees
Sellfy has three plans and no transaction fee on any of them. Each plan caps your sales for the year (Checked 21 October 2026, sellfy.com/pricing):
- Starter: $29 a month ($22 billed yearly), up to $10k in sales a year
- Business: $79 a month ($59 billed yearly), up to $50k a year
- Premium: $159 a month ($119 billed yearly), up to $200k a year
Go over your cap and Sellfy expects you to upgrade. If you don't, it may charge a 2% fee on the revenue over the limit. PayPal or Stripe processing comes on top, which Sellfy puts at typically 2.9% + 30¢. There is a 14-day free trial.
Etsy charges $0.20 to list an item and 6.5% of each sale, plus payment processing that depends on your country (Etsy's fee policy). A digital listing with more than one in stock renews for another $0.20 after each sale. On a $10 download that is $0.85 a sale before processing. Sellfy Starter at $29 a month costs the same at about 34 sales a month. Below that, Etsy costs less. Above it, Sellfy does.
Is Sellfy better than Etsy?
For the right seller, yes. Sellfy is your own store with a store editor, your own domain, email marketing and coupon codes on every plan. It sells subscriptions, physical products and print-on-demand merch next to your downloads. It also takes far bigger files than Etsy: 10 GB to 20 GB per file by plan, up to 50 files per product (Sellfy help). Sellfy itself recommends keeping files under 5 GB so every buyer can download them.
What you leave behind is Etsy's marketplace. On Etsy, buyers find you by searching. On your own Sellfy store, your followers, email list and links do that job. Your Etsy reviews and sales history stay on Etsy. And you pay the monthly fee whether you sell or not.
Can I use Sellfy and Etsy together?
Yes. Sellfy is a separate store, so you can sell the same products in both places and point your own followers to Sellfy. One rule matters: Etsy prohibits moving an Etsy transaction off Etsy (section 2 of its fee policy). Don't send buyers who found you on Etsy to pay on Sellfy instead. Count both costs too: Sellfy's monthly fee doesn't replace Etsy's fees on your Etsy sales.
